What I'm worth

Why is it so difficult to be paid a decent amount to survive? I mean will all have to eat, right? I frequently check job boards to see what employers are offering nowadays. It amazes me that there are business owners out there that have the audacity to have a laundry list of skills and experience required- and then offer $10 and hour! I have recently decided to change careers, I now want to be a gypsy. Seriously, I'd be a designer bag toting, nicely dressed, always too many shiny pieces of jewelry wearing gypsy- who would eventually have to pawn all of her goods in order to eat...but I think this would help me appreciate the simple things in life...
